Thank you for logging onto my website. Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Loida Lafi; I first became involved in the home fashion industry in 1994, when I co-owned a gift and home accessories shop in my hometown. It was there that my professional services as a decorator began. This tiny shop was no more than 400 square feet, yet I managed to showcase a colorful and eclectic mix of home accessories and furniture that appealed to my clientele. My customers would ask me to assist them in selecting everything from merchandise sold in the shop to wall, floor and window coverings. I realized then that interior decorating was a true calling for me and enrolled in course work at the Fashion Institute of Technology and later received my certification from the Sheffield School of Interior Design in New York City.
My education, however, did not stop there. I remain current with the latest trends by constantly attending numerous seminars and workshops. Additionally, I am a member of several professional interior decorating and design organizations, which offer me the privilege of networking with dozens of other talented designers.
Along with my education and experience, I bring into all my projects a unique design sense and an innate ability to carefully listen to all of my clients needs and to seamlessly merge them into a full design concept.
It is not only my love for color and fabrics that make me a natural at home design, but also my genuine desire to help people live and work in an environment that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. I believe that by living in such surroundings, each of us enjoys a more productive, comfortable and satisfying life.
